When boarding and disembarking
Here you will find information on how to get on and off for a smoother and safer journey with Ultra.
Tips on how to travel with Ultra
- It is preferable to buy the card in advance at Ultra's Travel Info Office (Vasaplan), Umeå bus station and the NUS terminal or at one of our local sales agents.
- Before boarding, be prepared with a bus card or mobile ticket. Not only is it cheaper to buy the ticket before boarding, the stop stops are also shorter, which speeds up the journey. We think that is good.
- Show the driver that you want to ride along when you are at the stop. Make yourself visible in the dark by using reflectors.
- Boarding the bus takes place via the front door. Passengers who have a stroller, walker, wheelchair or other assistive device get on via the rear door. Then use the blue button located by the door outside the bus so that the driver knows that you want to get on.
- You help the driver to drive smoothly and comfortably by signalling well in advance of your stop. All cards are shown to the card reader when boarding. You should do this even if you know that you have a free transfer and change buses. A transfer is registered in the ticket machine but does not cost anything extra.
- Disembarkation is via the back door
At our stops
The timetables posted at the stops show the approximate departure time from that particular stop. The time varies between 1 and 3 minutes before and after the specified time.
It is forbidden to smoke in and near the weather shelters at the bus stops.
Larger groups
Remember to pre-register when you travel with a larger group. Call us (0771-100 110) to pre-register and then the transport company may be able to prepare a reinforcement bus. State when you are travelling, which route, number of passengers, any aids and that you will be travelling with Ultra and/or regional traffic.
