How you can bring luggage and goods on the bus.

Baggage

One carry-on bag (40x30x30 cm) and/or a suitcase, a pair of skis/snowboard in a case, a pram or wheelchair/walker may be carried by the traveler free of charge, subject to availability. Luggage is taken at the traveller's own risk. Well marked with name, address and telephone.

Luggage may be carried in the passenger compartment of the bus only to the size, weight and dimensions permitted by the luggage racks of the bus. Otherwise, luggage during the journey must be stored in the luggage compartment of the bus. For safety reasons, the aisle of the bus must be kept free of luggage and other goods.

If goods are damaged in the trunk or if they are stolen, you must report to your own home insurance.

Flammable and explosive baggage may not be carried.

Bus freight

For bus freight transport, tariff and transport regulations issued by Länstrafiken apply. Within Västerbotten County there is also a Bus Box. It's a simplified way to send small packages.

You buy a shipping label that means that the shipping is paid.

Bicycle

Bicycles may be carried by passengers subject to cargo space on a goods-carrying bus. In the timetables, the routes that have cargo space are marked with the Bussgods logo.
On buses with only luggage space, bicycles are not allowed.
There is no extra charge to bring a bicycle on board. Bicycles that are brought into the goods room must be well packaged so as not to be damaged or damage other goods. If there is no space, the bike must be sent as Bus Goods, in those cases a bus freight rate applies.

When changing buses, it does not guarantee that the next bus has cargo space for the bicycle.

Bicycles cannot be carried on the express buses on Norrlandsresan line 100, Ybuss (line 100 southwards) and on buses in city traffic.

Kick-bike, electric scooter or folding bike

Means of transport that are folded and portable and are less than 120 cm when folded can be taken on the bus free of charge, subject to availability.
When you travel with buses without a level difference when boarding (low-entrance bus) in regional traffic and local transport Umeå, you may store your foldable means of transport on the floor of the passenger compartment. Keep in mind that it must not take up a seat or be placed so that it blocks aisles or exits as this can prevent a quick evacuation of the bus.

When travelling on buses that have steps on boarding (normal floor buses), you must fold your means of transport and store it in the luggage compartment under the bus for safety reasons.

On small buses, foldable means of transport may be carried subject to availability.

Low-entrance buses in regional traffic are available on routes 118, 120, 122, 123, 124 and 125 and can be used on routes 114 and 115.
