Availability
Accessibility is about the entire journey, both before, during and after the trip.
When we develop and procure traffic, we set requirements that must satisfy many different needs. In collaboration with other actors, we work continuously with accessibility, so that more people have the opportunity to travel and that Länstrafiken Västerbotten is perceived as a full-fledged travel alternative for everyone, the entire journey from door to door needs to be accessible.
Our functional requirements for the procurement of traffic
The goal is that everyone who can get to and from the bus stop on their own or with an escort should be able to travel with Länstrafiken i Västerbotten AB, provided that the bus is accessible or has an accessibility guarantee. You can see this in the timetable or the travel planner here on the website. Since there are many different aids, we have regulations for what is possible for us to take on board. Many of our buses are equipped with ramps or lifts. It is good if you register your trip in advance, then we can be prepared and make your trip as good as possible.
Digital accessibility and accessibility statement
In addition to working with the physical accessibility for passengers, we also work with accessibility for our digital service. Länstrafiken in Västerbotten follows the web directive and has an accessibility statement here on the website. It describes our work with accessibility work with our digital service.
